María José Ruiz

Assistant Resident Director in Madrid, Spain

María José Ruiz began working with ISA in September 2007. She is originally from Alicante, but has also lived in Edinburgh and Newcastle, U.K. She graduated from the University of Murcia with a degree in English. She completed her Master’s degree in “Cultural and Heritage Tourism” at the University of Sunderland; her thesis was titled “The Impact of Tourism on UNESCO World Heritage Sites.” She has taught both English and Spanish as a second language. She has a passion for linguistics, traveling, and getting to know different cultures.
