Amy Woodell

Customized Programs Manager & ELAP Admissions Coordinator in Austin, United States

Amy joined the ISA team in October of 2004. Amy received her BA from the University of Florida, with a major in Business and a double- minor in Latin American Studies. She spent her junior year abroad studying at both La Católica and La Universidad de Chile in Santiago, Chile. Since her love of empanadas was not yet satiated, she quickly returned to South America after graduating and interned for a GTE subsidiary, CTI Movil in Buenos Aires for 6 months. The following 9 months Amy returned to Santiago, Chile where she worked at an international moving company. Once she returned to the U.S. she worked for an international development non-profit preparing and placing students in volunteer placements in rural Latin America. For 8 years, Amy has enjoyed helping students prepare for the life-changing opportunity of studying or volunteering abroad. Currently at ISA, Amy places and supports students in the Experiential Learning Abroad Programs throughout Latin America. She also implements customized, faculty-led programs and serves as a liaison between university faculty and staff and on-site ISA directors for their programs in Latin America, Spain, France, England, or Morocco.
