LPI Study Abroad Coordinator in Austin, United States

Rene participated in ISA’s Costa Rica program in the spring of 2005. His experience abroad inspired him to continue his relationship with the company as a part time admissions assistant shortly after returning to Austin. In December of that same year, Rene graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Communication Studies and a minor in Business and Spanish. He began working as an LPI Study Abroad Coordinator in the spring of 2006. He developed an interest in travel on a summer high school trip through Europe, which included visits to the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, France, and Spain. While studying abroad with ISA his senior year of college, Rene had the opportunity of exploring Central America where he toured Panama, Nicaragua and throughout Costa Rica. His experiences abroad have infused a passion for travel as well as a growing fascination of exploring other cultures. Rene now firmly believes that studying abroad should be an essential part of a student’s education. As an ISA alum and an LPI advisor, he is dedicated to promoting and providing cross-cultural student travel experiences that can change lives.
