John joined ISA in July 2007 and is committed to helping others study abroad. An ISA alumnus, John studied in Guanajuato, Mexico to improve his Spanish in 2001. This trip ignited John's interest to master the language and more deeply understand Mexican culture. Following his experience, John returned to Trinity University where he pursued his Spanish degree. This decision led John to study in Spain where he worked as an intern with the Immigration Department of Madrid in the summer of 2002. Following graduation from Trinity, John moved to Boca Raton, Florida where he obtained a Masters degree at Florida Atlantic University in Spanish in 2005. During his time as a FAU Graduate Assistant, John traveled to Ecuador where he researched Andean Literature and Culture during the summer of 2004. In addition to his Spanish interests, John has traveled extensively throughout Western and Central Europe as well as the Carribean. While at ISA, John has worked as a Resident Director in Guadalajara, Mexico and Cusco, Perú during the Summer of 2008 and 2009 respectively.
