Amelia joined ISA as Customized Programs Admissions Coordinator in November 2008. Her interest in travel and cultural exchange began while studying in San José, Costa Rica at the age of eleven. While in college, she studied anthropology & Spanish language in Lima, Peru, and social movements & Spanish language in Mexico, traveling to Chiapas, Oaxaca, Tlaxcala, Mexico City, and Juarez. Amelia has taught English and assisted in outreach coordination at a non-profit multicultural center in Moab, Utah. She holds a B.A. in Latin American Studies and Anthropology from The University of Texas at Austin.
