Volunteer/Internship ProgramsParticipation in volunteer or internship opportunities abroad is an excellent way to immerse oneself in another country's way of life. At the same time ELAP participants address the needs of a community abroad, while applying the lessons from the experience to their own personal growth. Experiential learning adds another dimension to the study abroad experience through daily interactions, resulting in a greater understanding of the language, culture, and community of the host country. Participants develop skills, considered valuable to potential employers, such as problem solving, appreciation for community and diversity, the ability to cooperate and collaborate in an international setting, and a more intimate understanding of global issues. For important admissions information and to contact ELAP, click here. In each country, internship and volunteer options fall under specific service areas. Use the list below along with the Profile Form to consider which service area(s) interest you the most. A few examples are listed with each service area to give you a more specific idea of what is available. Please contact us if you have any questions.
