Courses with Argentine Students - University of Belgrano

Students at an advanced level of the Spanish language will take courses with local students at the University of Belgrano. Students may choose to participate in an intensive month of language practice at the beginning of the semester. Please refer to the "Intensive Month Program" overview for more details. Students will have an academic orientation before making their final course selections at the University of Belgrano.

Students have the option of taking up to five classes from two general categories but must take at least one course with Argentines if they sign up for this program:

Category One: Classes with Argentine Students (Students must chose at least one course from this area)
Students are able to select classes from the regular course listings of the University of Belgrano. These courses are recommended for students who are fluent in the Spanish language because courses will be taken with Argentine students and are taught by Argentine faculty.

Category Two: Latin American Studies in Spanish (as listed under the Fall/Spring 3 programs)
These courses are specifically designed for foreign students. Instruction is in Spanish and classes are taken with international students.

Eligibility

Minimum GPA

Students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.50.

Minimum Admissions Prerequisites

For advanced level Spanish speakers only. Students must have a
2.50 GPA and have completed at least 5 semesters or 7 quarters
of college level Spanish (or equivalent). Students who have only
completed 4 semesters or 6 quarters of college level Spanish are
eligible by adding the an intensive month of language at the beginning
of the semester. See “Intensive Month Program” overview
