Latin American Studies in Spanish - University of Belgrano

The Latin American Studies program is designed for students at the intermediate and advanced levels of the Spanish language, who have an interest in political, social, economic, and cultural aspects of Argentina. The courses in this program are taught in Spanish by University of Belgrano professors. All classes are with American and other international students.

Students may also add an Intensive Month to a Semester/Year program for a discounted price. Contact the ISA office for further details!

Students wishing to take one or more courses with locals should sign up for the Courses with Argentine Students program.

Eligibility

Minimum GPA

Students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.50.

Minimum Admissions Prerequisites

For intermediate and advanced level Spanish speakers. Students
must have a 2.5 GPA. All students must take a Spanish language
placement exam upon arrival in Buenos Aires. The exam will indicate
each student’s language proficiency level, and will determine
the courses in which the student is eligible to enroll. Students who
arrive in Argentina having completed one full year of college-level
Spanish will likely place into the intermediate level courses. Students
who arrive in Argentina having completed two years of college-
level Spanish will likely place into the advanced level courses.
