Eligibility

Minimum GPA

Students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.80.

Minimum Admissions Prerequisites

Students must have completed 5 semesters or 7 quarters of college-level Spanish (or the equivalent) to be elgible for this program. However, students who have completed 4 semesters or 6 quarters of college-level Spanish are eligible by adding on an intensive month prior to the semester (i.e. enrolling in Fall 7 or Spring 7 programs)

In order to be accepted to this program students must at least be in their 2nd year of college.

Students must also submit an official transcript for this program!

Prior to your arrival you will take an online placement exam to determine your language proficiency. Your performance on this exam will determine the classes for which you are eligible as well as your official acceptance into the USAL. If you do not place into at least the high intermediate level, you will not be accepted into the USAL and will therefore need to switch to a different ISA program entirely. ISA cannot guarantee that you will place into the appropriate language level in order to fulfill academic credit requirements nor can we manipulate the results of your placement exam in any way. The second portion of the placement exam will be taken once on site.
