Buenos AiresSemester / TrimesterIntensive Spanish Language-Semester - University of BelgranoThis program is designed for students at the beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels of the Spanish language. Spring students will take a total of 320 hours and progress through 3 consecutive levels. The Spring program is open to beginning, intermediate, and high intermediate students. Fall students will take a total of 210 hours at one level. The Fall program is open to all levels of Spanish speakers. Students will participate in courses offered at University of Belgrano's language department that focus on Spanish grammar, conversation, and culture. Students will be in class with Americans and other international students. EligibilityMinimum GPA Students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.50. Minimum Admissions Prerequisites For beginning, intermediate, and advanced level Spanish speakers. The Spring semester is open to beginning, intermediate, and high intermediate level Spanish speakers. The Fall semester is open to all levels. Students must have a 2.5 GPA. All students must take a Spanish language placement exam upon arrival in Buenos Aires. The exam will indicate each student’s language proficiency level, and will determine the courses in which the student is eligible to enroll. Students who arrive in Argentina having completed less than one year of college-level Spanish will likely place into beginning level courses. Students who arrive in Argentina having completed one full year of college-level Spanish will likely place into the intermediate level courses. Students who have taken more than one full year of college-level Spanish will likely place into the advanced level.
