Overview

Build on the basic skills learned in elementary Dutch. Review major points of Dutch
grammar, especially those causing trouble for non-native speakers. Focus on students
expressing themselves fluently in speech and writing on a wide variety of topical issues
by the end of the sequence. Use a variety of texts and audio-visual materials to
improve listening comprehension, reading and writing skills and fluency in speaking,
to enrich vocabulary and to deepen understanding of Flemish and Dutch culture.
