Overview

Begins with a brief overview of EU history and institutions. Examines the theory of economic
integration, both micro and macro, and policies of the single European market: competition,
transport, energy, environment and labor. It also looks at structural policies: agriculture,
fisheries, regional policy and social policy. Also studied are external relations and enlargement.
Prerequisite: One course each in economics and political science or permission of instructor.
