A private university that was founded in 1964, the Fundaçao Universidade de Sul de Santa Catarina (UNISUL), or UNISUL, has four campuses located in the capital and southern Santa Catarina state and has a student body of approximately 25,000 students. UNISUL takes pride in being a socially responsible and technologically advanced university, and it offers one of the most extensive distance learning programs in Latin America. ISA students will attend courses at the Ilha Centro location of the UNISUL campus, located in the central downtown of island-side Florianópolis.
