This course is designed for students who have completed or tested out of a minimum of one semester (or two quarters) of college-level Spanish. However, students must take a placement exam to determine the course level into which they will be able to enroll.

Overview

Course Description:

Present the basic principles of Spanish phonetics and to help the students to improve their pronunciation of Spanish words. In each class, there will be a theoretical study of the sounds in the Spanish language with a comparision of those in English. The course will conclude with an oral test concentrated on the correct articulation of specific sounds.
