This program is designed for students at the beginning or low intermediate level of Spanish language proficiency. Students who have completed two semesters or less of college-level Spanish may participate. All classes are taken at the Viña del Mar University with other international students. Beginning-level courses focus on Spanish language and Chilean culture, and phonetics and pronunciation. Low intermediate-level courses focus on language and culture, grammar and composition, and phonetics and pronunciation. Students may also choose to participate in Cultures in Contact, a hands-on cultural exchange course.
