Valparaíso and Viña del MarSemester / Trimester:Intensive Spanish Language ProgramSpring 3 2009 (Late Feb, 2009 to Mid Jul, 2009) This program is designed for students at the beginning or low intermediate level of Spanish language proficiency. Students who have completed two semesters or less of college-level Spanish may participate. All classes are taken at the Viña del Mar University with other international students. Beginning-level courses focus on Spanish language and Chilean culture, and phonetics and pronunciation. Low intermediate-level courses focus on language and culture, grammar and composition, and phonetics and pronunciation. Students may also choose to participate in Cultures in Contact, a hands-on cultural exchange course.
