This course is designed for students who have completed or tested out of a minimum of four semesters (or six quarters) of college-level Spanish. However, students must take a placement exam to determine the course level into which they will be able to enroll.

Overview

General Objetive of the Course:
In the Advanced Grammar section of this course, the objetive is to review and revise grammatical concepts that generally present problems for students that learn Spanish as a second language.

Specific Objetives:

-Contents of the Course:
The topics included in this review are:
Use of pronouns, prepositions, conjuntions, and functions of "se".
Use of simple and compound verbal tenses in the indicative and subjunctive mood.
Use of auxiliary and copulative verbs.
Use of adjectives (nominalization, type, number).
Use of substantives (name, nominalization, type, number and class).

-Activities:
Analysis of text.
Discussions.

-Method of Evaluation:
Grade is based on the following evaluations:
25% Homework assignment.
25% Class participation.
25% Weekly examinations.
25% Final examination.
