Courses include Spanish Language and Culture, Written Spanish, Grammar and elective courses with Chilean and international students. Students take courses at the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso, mostly with other international students. Minimum Admissions Prerequisites For intermediate and advanced level Spanish speakers. All students must take a Spanish language placement exam upon arrival in Valparaíso. The exam will indicate each student's language proficiency level, and will determine the Spanish courses in which the student is eligible to enroll. Students who arrive in Chile having completed two semesters or the equivalent of college-level Spanish will likely place into the intermediate level courses.
