Prior to enrolling in courses at this language level, students must have completed or tested out of a minimum of five semesters (or seven quarters) of college-level Spanish at their home university in the U.S.

Students come to understand the individual in development from his/her gestational period and up to the development of the family or the absence thereof, with special attention paid to the psycho-emotional and social aspects of the individual.
