Course InformationCourse Disclaimer Course placement is often based on a placement test administered on-site. All students on the Courses with Costa Ricans at Veritas University will be required to take a placement test upon arrival. This test will determine the courses in which the student is eligible to enroll. Winter students who do not place into the advanced level will be required to participate in the Spanish Language and Electives program. Students will choose a total of 4 courses from this program. Because of a difference in dates, the student can choose to stay for the 3 additional weeks with his/her host family. If the student does not wish to stay in San José after his/her classes end, he/she is responsible for all airline change fees and any additional costs that he/she may have incurred. A reimbursement will be given for the unused housing portion of the program cost. Fall students who do not place into the advanced level will be required to participate in the September Intensive Month program at their respective level and in the Spanish Language and Electives program once it begins. The Intensive Month acts as one of the 4 course choices, so the student would then choose 3 more classes from the Spanish Language and Electives program. Because of a difference in dates the student will be required to extend his/her stay by one week. Said student is responsible for all airline change fees and any additional costs that he/she may have incurred.
