Volcano Arenal is situated near the community of La Fortuna, where it dominates the village landscape. The volcanic hot springs at Baldi Termae are heated to a perfect temperature. While bathing in the thermal springs one can observe the glowing hot boulders which descend from the volcano.

Manuel Antonio National Park is one of the most renowned parks in Costa Rica. Hiking, surfing, swimming, snorkeling, and horseback riding are just a few of the activities available along the white sand beaches.

Monteverde

Located in the Northern Zone of Costa Rica, Monteverde (translated as "Green Mountain") is the most well-known Biological Cloud Forest Preserve in Costa Rica. It is incredibly rich in biodiversity, representing more than 2000 species of plants, 400 species of birds, and 100 different species of mammals within its 26,000 acres. Hiking, bird watching, and horseback riding are just a few of the popular activities here. Don't miss out on the highest canopy tour in all of Costa Rica - swing through the forest on cables 130 ft. above the ground!

Nicaragua (Optional)

This excursion visits some of the highlights of Nicaragua. Stops include: Granada, one of the most famous colonial cities in Latin America; Las Isletas, 365 small islands created by an ancient volcanic explosion; Masaya, which has a wonderful market and is home to nearby Masaya Volcano National Park; and the capital city of Managua. Sites in Managua include the Teatro Ruben Dario, the arqueological site Huellas de Alcahualinca, Managua Lagoon, and the Managua Cathedral.

Panama (Optional)

This trip to Panama visits Bocas del Toro, a group of mangrove islands located in the Northeastern part of the country. These beautiful islands are part of Isla Bastimentos National Park, home to a wide variety of wild and exotic species. It is a wonderful place to snorkel, surf and explore the many beautiful beaches. The excursion includes a one day tour of Dolphin Island, Red Frog Beach, Cayo Coral and Punta Hospital; all amazing places to see dolphins, red frogs, large starfish, and monkeys.
