Universities in San JoséVeritas University La Universidad de Veritas where ISA students attend class. Students will study in San José at Veritas University. The Collegium Veritas, created in 1976, was one of the four founding schools of the first private university in Costa Rica. After demonstrating an exceptionally high level of academics for eighteen years, Veritas University became an accredited institution. The University is committed to offering the best in academics while also responding to the practical demands of its students and society. The University is renowned in Costa Rica for its design, art, architecture and photography programs. In addition, the University welcomes international students to study Spanish at its International Programs Department (DPI). There is an enrollment of approximately 1,500 Costa Rican students and about 150 international students during a given semester. Universidad Latina - San Pedro The Universidad Latina - San Pedro, one of the primary campuses of the Universidad Latina de Costa Rica, is one of the largest and most well-respected private universities in the region. As part of the Laureate International Universities network, the Universidad Latina - San Pedro is part of a global system of highly regarded institutions. The school's undergraduate and graduate programs are fully accredited and cover a wide range of disciplines. The "U" is located in the trendy San Pedro neighborhood of San José near many other institutions of higher learning. ISA also works with another Universidad Latina campus located in the neighboring city of Heredia. These two campuses are connected by a brand new urban train.
