Since 2002, ISA's Experiential Learning Abroad Programs (ELAP) has provided volunteer placements for proficient Spanish speakers throughout Latin America. In an effort to expand our program offerings to non-Spanish speakers while maintaining quality experiential learning programs, we have developed the Spring Break Volunteer Program. This program allows participants to work and stay within a Costa Rican national park, learn about biodiversity and sustainable eco-tourism from a local biologist, and gain hands-on experience in the area of conservation/ecology.

Minimum GPA

Students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.50.

Minimum Admissions Prerequisites

There is no language prerequisite for this program.

Course Disclaimer

Educational lectures will be conducted on biodiversity, sustainable eco-tourism, and the flora and fauna of the region. However, the home university will determine if academic credit is to be awarded to the participant.
