Never overlook the natural beauty outside of the city. This northern Bohemian national park boasts beautiful scenery for hiking and seeing snow-capped mountains. It is famous for sandstone cliffs, pillars and land bridges. It houses the largest sandstone canyon in Europe and because of this, a large body of water once rested there, leaving fossils of sea animals seen in the cliff walls. The lynx, eagle owl, and peregrine falcon are often seen here. Czech Switzerland is a 2.5 hour train ride through the Czech landscape from Prague.
