Overview

COURSE DESCRIPTION & OBJECTIVES :
This course is the continuation of the first-semester mathematics course. It is designed to illustrate the many applications of calculus to the management sciences. It will provide the first year student with knowledge of the tools that will be needed in Economics, Accounting or Statistics.

INSTRUCTIONAL METHODOLOGY :
Presentation of the material to be covered, exercises to be done at home and then presented and explained in class. The following will be dealt with in class :

- Functions
- Derivatives
- Techniques of differentiation
- Applications of the derivative
- Exponential functions
- Application of the exponential functions
- Definite integral
- Functions of several variables

EVALUATION :
The final grade will be made up of a class participation, homework correction, class quizzes
and a final examination.
