Fall 3 = 66 hours of instruction
Win 2A = 72 hours of instruction
Fall 4/Win 2B/Yr 2 = 90 hours of instruction

Note: A placement exam will be required when you arrive on site.

Intermediate

This course is designed for students who have completed or tested out of a minimum of two semesters (or three quarters) of college-level French. However, students must take a placement exam to determine the course level into which they will be able to enroll.

Please use the following only as a guideline to determine what each student's language level may be. Each semester/quarter is of COLLEGE-LEVEL French or the equivalent of:

0-3 Semesters/0-5 Quarters = Beginning level
4-5 Semesters/6-8 Quarters = Intermediate
6-7 Semesters/9-11 Quarters = High Intermediate
8-9 Semesters/12-14 Quarters = Advanced
Fluent/Native Speaker = Superior

Be able to communicate in French in the business setting: know how to inform oneself, converse over the telephone, write letters, manage negotiations, be operational in administrative and commercial functions of business.
