High Beginning
This course is designed for students who have completed or tested out of a minimum of one semester (or two quarters) of college-level French. However, students must take a placement exam to determine the course level into which they will be able to enroll.

Overview

Oral understanding and expression

Objectives:
-Understand how to use different forms of speech according to the situation and audience
-Communicate with ease regardless of the situation
-Learn how to express one's ideas regarding both concrete and abstract subjects
-Work on the specificity of the oral with audio excerpts and video.

(Note that the level "high beginning" is equivalent to "elementary" at the Catholic University of Paris.)
