Overview

Lectures address the origins of modern life and thought, in particular in the heritage of the Enlightenment. From the birth of Cartesian rationalism to political thinking of the 18th century or the French Revolution, the bases of modern reflection will be elaborated. It is with this perspective that we will address the principle events and movements of the 17th and 18th centuries.
