SummerDuring the summer, two academic programs are available in Paris. The first, the Fine Arts program, is a unique five-week opportunity to discover Paris through the arts and language. This program is a great match for one who seeks a study abroad experience in France with art courses taught in English. French language studies, taught in French, are also available but not mandatory. Art classes, designed specifically for the Fine Arts program, are taken with other students participating in the program. French classes are taken with other international students. The French Language summer session, which takes place at the Catholic University of Paris, offers French courses at all language levels. Beginning and intermediate level courses cover the fundamentals of French, while high intermediate and higher levels offer increasingly advanced areas of language study such as Business French, Written French, Perfecting Language Skills, and Teaching French as a Foreign Language. Participants are in the classroom with other international students. Intensive MonthThe intensive month session is offered at the beginning, intermediate, advanced, and superior language levels only. Taken at the Catholic University of Paris, the intensive French language class concentrates on grammatical structures and communication skills. Participants are in the classroom with American and other international students. The intensive month may be completed as an individual program, or as a precursor to the Year and Semester programs. | |
