Located in south-western Umbria, Orvieto was founded by Etruscans and is home to a labyrinth of caves and tunnels that lie beneath the city's surface. The site of the city is among the most dramatic in Europe, rising above the almost-vertical faces of tufo cliffs that are completed by defensive walls built of the same stone. You will visit the underground tunnels as well as the splendid Duomo and its amazing mosaic façade.
