FlorenceCulture Corner![]() FUA and AISH and housing neighborhoodsCourses for the FUA and AISH are taken in the historic Palazzo Doni and Palazzo Guicciardini-Strozzi, just a few steps from the splendid Piazza Santa Croce in the quarter of Florence that takes its name from the celebrated church. As an ISA student you will have access to the study spaces which are very comfortable and include a spacious library with reading room, stations for online research, and an open computer lab composed of twenty workstations featuring internet access. You will find yourself in close proximity to local cafés, shopping, student housing, and all of the major sites of the city. Student apartments for the program all have a high level of quality associated with them, they are all unique, and all represent different neighborhoods within Florence. All apartments have shared bedrooms and can vary in size ranging from 3 - 8 students. Apartments are fully furnished and have fully equipped kitchens. While apartments are standardized in terms of basic amenities, they can vary greatly in terms of both aesthetics and proximity to the university. All apartments are either within walking distance to the FUA and AISH, or are conveniently located near public transit routes. Travel times to the university vary but generally range between 15 and 30 minutes. Detailed travel instructions to/from the university and apartments will be provided upon arrival. | |
