SummerSummer Arabic Language & Middle Eastern Studies - Al-Ahliyya Amman UniversityThe ISA summer program in Amman at Al-Ahliyya Amman University offers students the opportunity to learn Modern Standard Arabic while also learning about life and politics in the Middle East. Students will take two courses with other ISA students over a period of five weeks. Students who have not completed two semesters or three quarters of college-level Arabic or the equivalent must choose language as one of their courses. Excursions to Jordan's most famous landmarks are included in order to give students a more comprehensive view of Jordanian culture. The Jordanian government requires an HIV antibody test at an official Jordanian clinic for all individuals seeking to extend the initial 30-day visa granted at the airport. The ISA Amman staff will assist students throughout this process. EligibilityMinimum GPA Students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.50.
