GuanajuatoCulture CornerHow do I get around?![]() Walking Buses Taxis It may be more expensive than you think to travel by taxi on a daily basis. Most foreign countries have excellent public transportation. If traveling by day and you’re not in a hurry, it is definitely worth it to walk or take the bus. When hiring a taxi, request in advance the fare to be paid for your destination. Don’t be alarmed if you don’t see a meter, taxis in Mexico usually don’t have them. If necessary, you can arrange to have a cab pick you up at your house for an extra cost. Most excursions will have a planned meeting place in Guanajuato and will not leave from the bus station. You are responsible for your own transportation to the meeting place when participating on ISA excursions. **ISA strongly discourages program participants from owning or operating/renting motor vehicles while participating in the program** | |
