Morelia and Pátzcuaro

Morelia is regarded as one of the most beautiful colonial cities in Mexico. It is the capital of the State of Michoacán which is home to the famous Monach Butterfly Sanctuary and the picturesque town of Pátzcuaro. Students will tour the city on a quaint tourbus. This tour includes a visit to the famous Pátzcuaro Lake and the Sweet Factory where students will have the opportunity to savour some of the sweets and chocolates that have made Morelia famous. Students will then visit the Home of Traditional Arts & Crafts of Morelia. After having lunch in the city centre the group will visit the Orchid Farm, the Morelia zoo and will end the day with a visit to the Planetarium where they will learn about pre-Columbian astronomy.
