Students will take a grammar and conversation class and will also have the option of taking up to three more classes in the areas of history, literature, and US-Mexico relations. Students will be in class with other international students. Minimum Admissions Prerequisites For intermediate and advanced-level Spanish speakers. Students must have a 2.5 GPA. All students must take a Spanish language placement exam upon arrival in Guanajuato. The exam will indicate each student’s language proficiency level, and will determine the courses in which the student is eligible to enroll. Students who arrive in Mexico having completed one full year of college-level Spanish will likely place into the intermediate-level courses. Students who arrive in Mexico having completed two years of college-level Spanish will likely place into the advanced-level courses.
