Prior to enrolling in courses at this language level, students must have completed or tested out of a minimum of four semesters (or six quarters) of college-level Spanish at their home university in the U.S.
Overview

The purpose of this course is to introduce students to the vocabulary and business practices of the Hispanic world, further develop practical language skills, and contribute to greater cross-cultural awareness. The goal is to help students successfully negotiate in an increasingly global marketplace. We explore numerous aspects of the Spanish-speaking business world, emphasizing effective oral and written communication, critical thinking and teamwork. The study abroad setting provides an ideal opportunity to gain hands-on experience, especially in the areas of marketing, advertising and pop culture.
