Advanced
This course is designed for students who have completed or tested out of a minimum of four semesters (or six quarters) of college-level Spanish. However, students must take a placement exam to determine the course level into which they will be able to enroll.
High Advanced
This course is designed for students who have completed or tested out of a minimum of five semesters (or seven quarters) of college-level Spanish. However, students must take a placement exam to determine the course level into which they will be able to enroll.

Overview

The objective of this course is to provide students with the necessary tools to get an initial encounter with the Náhuatl language. Besides Náhuatl classes, this course includes a visit to a native community where this language is spoken, so students will have the opportunity to practice what they have learned in an authentic environment.
