Intermediate
This course is designed for students who have completed or tested out of a minimum of two semesters (or three quarters) of college-level language. However, students must take a placement exam to determine the course level into which they will be able to enroll.

Overview

The course objective is to provide students with structural patterns and functional vocabulary that will improve their Arabic language skills

Content:
UNIT 1- Structure of sentences in standard Arabic (nominal clause and verbal clause). Definite nouns: Nakira and Marifa and (Al) and (Idhafa). Differences between (AL) Shamciya and Qamariya.

UNIT 2- Pronouns, independent/separating pronouns and linked pronouns.

UNIT 3- Demonstratives used to talk about objects close or far from the speaker.

UNIT 4- Different forms of Layssa. Verbal Nouns.

UNIT 5- Verbal sentence. Transitive and intransitive verbs. Transitive verbs with one or two direct objects.
