Overview

This course will dive in to study how these three main facets of Moroccan life (religion, society, and politics) are intertwined to establish the unique and vibrant culture that Morocco was built upon. Topics to be discussed include: History of Muslim Religion, Characteristics of Muslim Society, Political and Religious Models, Geopolitical and Religious Coordinates in Present day, and Morocco: Society and Religion in the Alauí Dynasty.
