The Meknès Language, Culture and Society semester program provides students with little or no Arabic or French language experience the opportunity to choose among courses taught in English. Students may select courses in subjects such as history, culture, architecture, arts, religion, politics, gender studies, and more. Additionally, students are required to participate in at least one Arabic or French language course at the beginning, intermediate or advanced level.

Semester students will begin their program in Granada, Spain where they will experience a multi-day orientation excursion before traveling across the Strait of Gibraltar to their host city of Meknès.
Minimum GPA
Students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.75.
Minimum Admissions Prerequisites
There is no language prerequisite for this program.
Course Disclaimer
Students choosing to enroll in an Arabic or French language course beyond the Beginning I level must take a language placement exam prior to beginning their coursework. Placement exam will be administered onsite.
