Huaraz, 400 km north of Lima, is the climbing and trekking center of Peru.
Huaraz offers spectacular views of the colorful Huaylas valley formed by the
Black and White mountain ranges and the Santa River. Students will view scenic
locations of Callejon de Huaylas, Laguna de Llanganuco, and Yungay. In Carhuaz,
students can sample the delicious manjar blanco, a sweet Latin American spread
made with milk. This excursion also includes trekking through the beautiful
Andean countryside of the Cordillera Blanca.
