ISA students will attend the Universidad del Pacífico, which is the most prestigious in Peru in its fields of specialization: economics and business administration. The Universidad del Pacífico was established in 1962 and currently has an enrollment of 3,000 undergraduate students. The university hosts students from over forty international universities, primarily from Europe. The UP is a highly technological university; all classes have Internet access and multimedia equipment. The distinguished reputation of the Universidad del Pacífico is exemplified in the numerous books, articles, and study guides published by UP professors. In addition to the regular courses, students in the fall, winter, and year programs can participate in extracurricular activities such as: folkloric dance, guitar, painting, theater, soccer, volleyball, basketball, and more. ISA is happy to announce that as of Spring 2011, the Universidad del Pacífico is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

They mold professionals, entrepreneurs, and leaders, contributing to the sustainable Peruvian society. They began their university programs in December of 1995 and continue to offer many career paths and specializations including Administration, Architecture, Economics, Graphic Design, Law, and Marketing. USIL's president was the first female presidential candidate for the country of Peru and is founder served as Vice President of Peru.

Volunteer Opportunities with ELAP in Lima

ELAP students will attend one of the three universities if they are participating in an ISA program in conjunction with their ELAP program:
*University of the Pacific (UP)
*Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP)
*University of San Ignacio de Loyola (USIL)

ELAP students participating in an ELAP stand-alone volunteer program will not attend a foreign university, but will receive one week of Spanish tutorials (15 hours) during their first week (for programs 6 to 16 weeks in duration) and the continue volunteering at their assigned placement.
