FALL STUDENTS WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Objective

To provide a vision into the principal artistic manifestations of the Iberic Peninsula from the prehistoric time until the Islamic art.

Program

The first artistic manifestations: the cave art in the Iberic Peninsula
The art of the first colonies: Fenicians, Greeks, and Carthaginians
Art from the Iberic and celtic towns
The roman art in Spain
The Visigoth art
The Asturian art and their different periods.
The Islamic art
The mosque Arabic art.
