The following activities are often available in Bilbao, offering opportunities for students to participate in and learn about Spanish culture:The International Relations office at the University of Deusto sponsors a variety of cultural activities such as mountain climbing practice with weekly excursions, university and development groups that focus on the developing world, as well as theater, literary, and painting workshops.The Sports Department at the University of Deusto allows students to participate in the following sports: soccer, indoor soccer, 3-on-3 basketball, 7-man rugby, tennis, table tennis, squash, handball, paddleball, chess, billiards, archery, volleyball, etc. The Bilbao campus also has a gymnasium.The International Office sponsors different events each academic year such as concerts of classical and modern music, expositions of modern art and photography, and the publication of a student-published poetry magazine.Take a tour of the Guggenheim Museum which houses a great collection of 20th century Modern art, as well as thematic exhibits that change frequently.
