All students will take a required Spanish language course, and then will choose either a Hispanic Culture and Civilization course or two electives. Students may enroll in overlapping summer sessions. Minimum Admissions Prerequisites For intermediate, advanced, and superior level Spanish speakers. All students must take a Spanish language placement exam upon arrival in Granada. The exam will indicate each student’s language proficiency level, and will determine the courses in which the student is eligible to enroll. Students who arrive in Spain having completed one full year of college-level Spanish will likely place into intermediate level courses. Students who arrive in Spain having completed two years of college-level Spanish will likely place into advanced level courses. Student who arrive in Spain having completed three years of college-level Spanish will likely place into superior level courses.
