Program participants will enroll in courses with Spanish students from a variety of academic disciplines, including: applied languages, translation and interpretation, business administration and management, marketing, law, journalism, tourism, advertising, audio-visual communications, industrial engineering, and computer engineering. Most courses are taught in Spanish, but some are offered in English. It is mandatory to enroll in at least one course that is taught in Spanish. Courses are taught by faculty at the host university.
Students will participate in a 40 hour intensive Spanish course before beginning their classes with Spanish students.
Minimum GPA
Students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.75.
Minimum Admissions Prerequisites
Students must have completed or tested out of a minimum of two upper-division Spanish courses. Most universities equate this as six semesters (8-9 quarters) of college-level Spanish.
