ISA Directors will take students on a tour of the city upon arrival, pointing out sites of interest including the ISA Office and the University of Málaga.
Language and culture exchanges (intercambios) are arranged with malagueños to give students the opportunity to interact with locals of the same age.
A tour of the Alcazaba, a Moorish fortress dating back to the eighth century, yields unbeatable views of the city and the sea.
Students will be able to visit the Picasso Museum, which houses an impressive array of the artist's work as well as an archaeological excavation of ancient Phoenician ruins.
A guided visit to Malaga's cathedral, the Catedral de la Encarnación, will explain why it is lovingly referred to as La Manquita, or one-armed lady.
