Participating students select courses from the University of Málaga's Facultad de Filosofía y Letras, which include courses within the fields of language and literature, and history among other subjects. All courses are taught in Spanish by faculty from the University of Málaga. Classmates will be local Spanish students.

Students take a placement test upon arrival to Málaga before beginning an Intensive Spanish Course. This course is held at the Center for Spanish Courses for Foreigners, approximately a 15 to 20 minute bus ride southeast from the ISA Málaga office. Classmates for this course are international students. Courses with locals are held at the Teatinos Campus, also a 15 to 20 minute bus ride (northwest) from the ISA Málaga office. The Teatinos Campus was built in the late 1990's and is considered one of the most modern university campuses in Spain.

Minimum GPA

Students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.75.

Minimum Admissions Prerequisites

Students must have completed or tested out of a minimum of two upper-division Spanish courses. Most universities equate this as six semesters (8-9 quarters) of college-level Spanish.
