Spanish Language and Culture Semester - University of Málaga

The Spanish Language and Culture program offers Spanish language and culture courses taught at the intermediate level. In addition to the required Spanish Language course, students select among a variety of courses including Spanish literature, culture and history. Courses are held at the University of Málaga's Center for Cursos de Español Para Extranjeros and are taught by host university faculty. Program participants will benefit from small class sizes and will be in class with international students.

Eligibility

Minimum GPA

Students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.50.

Minimum Admissions Prerequisites

Students must have completed or tested out of a minimum of two semesters (three quarters) of college-level Spanish.

Course placement is often based on a placement test administered on-site.

Upon taking the placement exam, some students may place into the advanced language level, in which case they will have the option of taking coursework at this level. Students may also be promoted to the advanced level during the semester depending upon their performance in class as determined by the host university professor.
