Overview

This course studies the landmark artistic manifestations during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Special attention is paid to architecture, sculpture, and painting and their respective trends. Topics include, but not limited to: in architecture: Neoclassicism, medievalism, relgious architecture, mudejarism, art of the Alhambra , and eclecticism ; in sculpture: romanticism, historicism, modernism; in painting: Goya, romanticism, realism, modernism, regionalism, surrealism.
